The Blumhardt Basic Planter Manifold Kit may be used for either in-the-row feeding of fertilizer or for side dressing. Accurate metering of fertilizer is accomplished using the Blumhardt Metering Orifice which gives the user a wide variety of choices when it comes to gallons per acre. The revolutionary Blumhardt Metering Orifice is designed to create a "swirl" pattern to eliminate clogging and produce trouble free operation. Basic Planter Manifold Kits include 9 sets of Metering Orifices for applying from 0.7 gpa to 164 gpa. Basic High Volume Planter Manifolds are also available and are capable of distributing from 17.1 gpa to 262 gpa.

   When both in-the-row and Deep Placement are required from one manifold, the Deep Placement Kit must also be ordered in addition to the Basic Planter Kit. Metering Orifices are not included in the Deep Placement Manifold Kits and must be ordered separately. If the same amount of gallons are to be applied with the Deep Placement Manifolds as in the row, an additional set of Metering Orifices must be ordered. Please use the Metering Orifices Application Chart to determine the best manifold kit for your use.

   Each kit includes all fittings for manifold construction, 100% stainless steel mounting hardware, stainless steel filter screens with individual check valves for positive shutoff, and sufficient tubing to reach to each opener.

   The Basic High Volume Planter Kits are used when the standard manifold kits are insufficient for volume requirements. These feature 1/4" I.D. tubing with hose barb style fittings. Adapters are included to attach the tubing to Blumhardt Tubeholders or commonly used 3/8" O.D. steel tubing. See "Plastic Fittings" section for complete selection of adapters. Basic High Volume Planter Manifold Kits include 4 sets of high volume metering orifices.
